Cyberpunk 2077 has official Ukrainian menus and subtitles since update 2.0 (September 2023), but no Ukrainian voice-over. How to switch it on and whether you need a fan patch.
Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 supports Ukrainian officially, but only as text: the interface and the subtitles. There is no Ukrainian dub. The game speaks English, Polish, Russian and several other languages, and the Ukrainian row on Steam shows no audio.

This comes from the game's Steam page. In a story-driven RPG with dozens of hours of dialogue, subtitles are enough to follow everything that happens.
When Ukrainian arrived
It was missing at launch in December 2020. The text localization came with update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion in September 2023. According to ZAXID.NET, the translation was done by the studio UnlocTeam, working directly with CD Projekt RED. Patch 2.01 followed on 5 October 2023 and corrected some of the lines.
So older posts claiming "no Ukrainian in Cyberpunk" are out of date: they predate 2.0.
How to turn it on
- Launch the game and open the settings.
- In the language section, pick Ukrainian for the text.
- Keep the voice language on English, which is closest to the original performance.
If you can't see Ukrainian in the list, make sure the game is fully updated.
Do you need a fan patch?
No. The unofficial translations that used to fill the gap are no longer necessary because the official text is built in. Putting third-party files on top of it is more likely to cause problems than improve anything.
If you searched for a Russian patch
Russian is also official here, with voice-over, so no separate patch is needed. And if you only wanted one because there was no alternative, there is one now: Ukrainian subtitles work out of the box.
