The Mortuary Assistant is a psychological horror game from DarkStone Digital. You play Rebecca, a funeral home assistant who starts a night shift and soon realises a demon has settled into one of the bodies. You have to find it and banish it before dawn, before it takes you instead.
The shift is built around work the game shows without flinching: examine the body, embalm it, log what you find. Meanwhile something moves in the mortuary, the lights die and visions appear, and you gather clues about who is possessed under pressure. The demon and the events are randomised, so no two runs play out the same.
According to HowLongToBeat (via DekuDeals), one shift takes about 2 hours, and seeing every ending and secret takes about 21 hours. A month is more than enough even for a full run. The game is single-player only and works offline.
