Risk of Rain 2

Risk of Rain 2 is a fast-paced action roguelike from Hopoo Games (published by Gearbox Publishing and 2K), played from a third-person view. You crash-land on a hostile alien planet and have to escape it by fighting through hordes of frenzied monsters, alone or with friends.

The key features are items and scaling. More than 110 items keep every run fresh, and the more you collect, the more surprisingly they combine. The difficulty grows along with you: both you and your enemies scale without limit, so the longer you survive, the bigger the chaos. There are eleven playable survivors with unique combat styles and alternate skills, artifacts that change the rules, and randomised stages, enemies and items. You can fight your way to the final boss and escape, or keep a run going for as long as you can.

According to HowLongToBeat, a first run takes about 11 hours and full completion about 149, so a month won’t cover 100%, though it is more than enough entertainment. You can play solo or in online co-op with up to three friends.
