What came out on Steam on October 12–18, 2026: Planet Zoo 2, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Valor Mortis, Enshrouded 1.0 and Boltgun 2 — scores, prices, Ukrainian support, DRM and whether they work offline.

This week Steam got a zoo-management sequel from Frontier, a Konami metroidvania, a soulslike shooter from the Ghostrunner team and the full release of Enshrouded. Below is a short look at each: the price, the reception, whether there is Ukrainian and whether you need the internet. Prices are from Steam for Ukraine as of October 19; Steam review figures are all-time totals for that day and may still move.

Planet Zoo 2

Released October 13 by Frontier Developments (developer and publisher). A zoo-management game, this time with aquatic and flying animals and sanctuaries.

It is a sandbox with no ending, so "finishing in a month" is about how long building stays fun for you. Scores differ a lot — from nine out of ten to sixty out of a hundred.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

Released October 14 (some outlets say the 15th; we use the Steam date). Developed by Konami and Evil Empire. A 2D action-exploration game about Rose Belmont, set 23 years after Dracula's Curse.

  • Steam price: 1,292 UAH.
  • Critics: about 86 on Metacritic (mostly PS5 scores) and 85 on OpenCritic; Famitsu gave 32/40. These figures come from news of October 8–13 and may have changed.
  • Steam reviews: "Mostly Positive", about 73%.
  • Length: roughly 12 hours to the normal ending, 20+ for 100%.
  • No Ukrainian; voice acting is in English and Japanese.
  • No DRM listed on Steam. Single-player only, so it works offline.

Valor Mortis

Released October 13 by One More Level (the Ghostrunner developers). A first-person soulslike shooter with supernatural powers set during a Napoleonic-era war.

  • Steam price: 1,149 UAH.
  • Critics: 80 on OpenCritic; IGN 7/10, GameSpot 6/10, Eurogamer 4/5. Common complaints are optimization and story.
  • Steam reviews: "Mostly Positive", about 77%.
  • Length: the developer says about 20 hours; reviews say 15–20, a full playthrough 25–30.
  • Ukrainian text and interface are available; voice acting is English only.
  • No DRM listed, single-player only. Also available through Xbox Game Pass.

Enshrouded 1.0

The full version came out on October 15 after early access that began in January 2024. Developer: Keen Games. A survival action-RPG with building and co-op.

  • Steam price: 764 UAH (10% off 849 UAH).
  • Steam reviews: "Very Positive", about 86% over all time, early access included.
  • Critics: we saw 81 on OpenCritic, but that may be a pre-1.0 snapshot; we found no scores for 1.0 itself.
  • According to PCGamesHardware, 1.0 adds new zones and 14 enemies and raises the level cap to 50.
  • Ukrainian text is available. No DRM listed.
  • You can play solo or in co-op, including online co-op. Online co-op does not work in offline rental.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2

Released October 14 by Auroch Digital, published by Big Fan Games and Devolver Digital. A retro first-person shooter in the Warhammer 40K universe, this time with two heroes — an Ultramarine and a Sister of Battle.

  • Steam price: 530 UAH.
  • Critics: 84 on OpenCritic; IGN 8/10, TechRaptor 9.5/10.
  • Steam reviews: "Very Positive", about 94%.
  • No Ukrainian. No DRM listed, single-player only.
  • We found no length figure for this game (the first one is usually quoted at 8–10 hours).

What else came out

  • over the hill (October 14) — a relaxed 4×4 off-road game, solo or co-op. 424 UAH on sale, "Very Positive" (about 92%), Ukrainian is available. An aggregator estimates 10–15 hours.
  • Penguin Colony (October 16) — a Lovecraft-inspired space horror seen through a penguin's eyes. 292 UAH, "Very Positive". No Ukrainian.
  • Tenebris Somnia (October 16) — a 2D retro survival horror. 216 UAH, "Very Positive" (about 94%). No Ukrainian.
  • DayZ Badlands (October 15) — an expansion for DayZ rather than a standalone game, and online only. 539 UAH, "Mixed".
