New on Steam this week, October 5–11, 2026: Gears of War: E-Day, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Hellraiser

A busy week: Microsoft released a new Gears of War straight onto Steam, Disney and former Burnout developers made a Star Wars racer, and Saber brought Pinhead back. Below is a short look at each game: the price, the reception, whether there is Ukrainian, and which of them are in our catalog.

Gears of War: E-Day — the release of the week

Released on October 6. Developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is a prequel to the series — a third-person cover shooter set on the first day of the Locust invasion. According to the developers, the campaign takes about 14 hours, the longest in the series.

The game is also on PC Game Pass — if you already subscribe, you do not need a rental. If you do not and only want the campaign, a month of rental costs less than the full price.

STAR WARS: Galactic Racer

Released on October 6. Developed by Fuse Games (whose team includes people who made Burnout) and published by Secret Mode. An arcade racer with a roguelite-style campaign: runs between which you upgrade your vehicle.

• Steam price: 1,390 UAH.
• Critics liked it: 87 on OpenCritic, 96% of reviewers recommend it. Praised for the sense of speed and the vehicle build system; criticised for samey planets and little reason to keep playing after the ending.
• Steam reviews: Very Positive.
• No Ukrainian; voice-over in English only.
• DRM: Denuvo with a 5-machine limit (stated on the Steam page).
• Multiplayer is online-only; there is no split screen.

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival

Released on October 8, developed and published by Saber Interactive. A single-player horror game based on Hellraiser, with Doug Bradley voicing Pinhead again.

• Steam price: 999 UAH.
• Reviews are split: from 8/10 at GameSpot to 6/10 at IGN and 4.5/10 at Game Informer. The PC version sits around 74 on Metacritic. Praised for atmosphere and faithfulness to the source; criticised for combat and technical issues.
• Length: roughly 10–15 hours depending on the source.
• No Ukrainian; voice-over in English only.

AION 2

The full release came on October 5 (early access started on September 30). It is a free-to-play MMORPG from NC with in-game purchases, so renting it makes no sense — it is online-only. The Steam peak was almost 398,000 concurrent players. Reviews are Mixed: players like the visuals but criticise monetisation and trading restrictions. No Ukrainian.
