Resident Evil 7 biohazard is a survival horror from Capcom in which the series moves to a first-person view for the first time. It is set in present-day rural America, after the events of Resident Evil 6. In an abandoned southern farmhouse, fear and isolation seem to seep through the very walls.

The game runs on the RE Engine and keeps the player uncomfortably close to the horror. You explore the house, solve puzzles, hunt for keys and items, carefully count ammo and healing supplies, and hide from hosts who have no intention of letting you go. It is classic survival horror: tension comes from exploration and scarce resources rather than endless shooting.
