DOOM: The Dark Ages

DOOM: The Dark Ages is a first-person shooter from id Software, a prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal. You play the Doom Slayer again, but this time in a grim medieval war against Hell, where castles and stone fortresses meet monstrous demons.

Combat is fast and aggressive but built differently from before: your main tool is a shield that can block, reflect projectiles and stun enemies. It is joined by melee fighting, a huge arsenal, and dedicated missions where you pilot a giant mech or ride a dragon. Difficulty can be tuned to your own style of play.

According to HowLongToBeat, the campaign takes about 14 hours and a full run about 25. In a month at roughly 60 hours you can finish it with lots of room and even go back for secrets. This is a pure single-player game that works offline, so the rental limits barely matter here.
