Balatro

Balatro is a poker-inspired roguelike deckbuilder by the indie developer LocalThunk, published by Playstack. You build poker hands, but under rules that real poker does not have: the game allows illegal hands and rewards clever synergies generously.

At its core are Joker cards that rewrite the rules: one multiplies your score, another adds chips, a third bends the logic of a hand. You score enough points to beat blinds, climb the antes and shape your deck around combos. There is a campaign with eight difficulty levels, challenges and seeded runs for repeating a setup.

According to HowLongToBeat, the main run takes about 8 hours and a full completion about 250 hours. A month at two hours a day is more than enough to beat the campaign and learn most of the Jokers. The game is single-player and fully available on rental.
